Just wanted to tell you...

"Well, you see what happened, was" - this is a famous phrase among our girls lately. They usually use it when they don't know what to say, or when they look for an excuse... And that's exactly what I need right now... I just wanted to say that there's no time for blogging when the house is full of friends and the weather looks like this:

So very busy...

Like Christmas and New Years celebration wasn't enough, my husband had decided to be born between these two holidays:)) We are enjoying some family time. Enjoying this gorgeous weather. Feeling thankful for white Christmas. Taking it all in.

Thank you for understanding, but I promise, I will be back soon!

More Christmas cards

December goes by so fast, now I know why people start making Christmas cards in October. I made these cards in silver and white using only white cardstock and gray papers from Little Winter Circus collection by Les Papiers de Pandore.

Here is a close up of each one:

The deer was cut out with Silhouette. I covered it with glue and sprinkled while glitter on top.

Same here, this time painting just little portions of leaves with glue pen and then adding sparkles.

Hope to get a few more pages for DD done before Christmas...

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy this most wonderful time of the year, since it goes by so fast... like any other time!

I'll be back soon!

LO "Moment"...

Good morning! I'm back. Still trying to find the best way, time and spot in the house to photograph finished projects. Sometimes even a great camera doesn't help. These pictures were taken by the window, and you can tell that by the harsh shadows on the left side of the page... Any tips?

Here is the 12x12 layout I made using Little Winter Circus and Everyday Portraits collections by Les Papiers de Pandore :

Making this page was a great reminder how much I really love scrapbooking! Having great products to work with is even better! I cut up the "moment" journaling card in half, adding one portion at the top of the pictures and the other one at the bottom, making it look like one long card.

I also used a stamp by Les papiers de Pandore, which I embossed in white embossing powder. And to support the stamping idea, I went ahead and embossed a few butterflies...

... and white cardstock, that I laid underneath the journaling card. Wanted to keep the page pretty light, to represent the innocence of little children in these photos.

I've told you before how versatile these papers are and I just love it! Make sure you visit their site for more awesome ideas! Thank you Les papiers de Pandore for great products!

Have a great day and I'll see you soon!

Not quite December Daily

I made a new page using the sweet "Little Winter Circus" collection by Les Papiers de Pandore. I just couldn't get the right colors of the papers without the natural light. Will be back tomorrow to share it with you.

For some reason this angle was probably the only one with true colors.

Also, I got a question - Did anyone see an extra time for sale anywhere? I would like to purchase some since my "to do" list can not possibly fit into the time left until Christmas...

See you tomorrow!

December Daily Days 7 - 11

Hello! Can you believe it's December 14th already? I can't. It feels more like December will be here in 14 days... But I do have a few more pages to share with you today.

Day 7:

Again, I didn't have anything great happening this day, so I just asked everyone to fill out cards with questions to record some of our favorites at the moment. I think it will be fun to read these in a year. Picture includes one of my favorites...

Day 8:

This moment made Liana's day! She was so excited to see Santa at the store. The little one had no clue what was happening though...

Day 9:
My girls attended a Birthday Ice Skating party this day. My daughter got this picture from a friend that was taken with an iphone. It's not one with the best quality but it captures the moment. I asked each one of my girls and my nieces to write something about the day and their notes are included in the envelope.

Day 10:

Got our fresh Christmas Tree this day! We didn't have time to decorate it, but at least we got it up and it was smelling so good! We couldn't keep Liana away from the tree. She kept decorating it with toys and drawings.

Day 11:

I added a smaller envelope for the journaling under the collage. Somehow, my days got confused and I have day 11 in front of day 10 in my December Daily. Just pretend you haven't noticed that. We are people and we all do mistakes.

I'm very sorry for confusing you with that "post" I had here a few days ago. That proves again that we are not perfect and our life doesn't go by the perfect plan we have in our mind. I just wasn't able to finish it at the moment and I didn't know I could revert it back from being published. Yeah, learn something new everyday:)

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Have a great Monday!

December Daily days 5&6

Hello! How come tomorrow always has more time then yesterday? Every day I think I'll do so much tomorrow, but when tomorrow becomes yesterday I realize it was very short and quick and didn't have half the stuff completed I planned...

Sharing two more days from my December Daily.

Day 5:

This day has small envelope:

I included a tiny picture of my daughter to compare how much she has changed... that's what journaling is about.

I realized, if I don't have a great story to tell from particular day, I can include my thoughts or memories. There's no rules. Remember?

We were making tags this day, so I repeated the idea I saw on Pinterest and included a bunch of tags on this page.

Day 6:

Tags are glued to a pocket that holds more journaling:

Hopefully I can catch up with more pages from DD. Some of them will be very simple, so it shouldn't take much time. I already printed pictures for the next few days. Hopefully I can come back soon to share more!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Two more cards

Good morning! I'm sorry if you are here to see December Daily or scrapbookin pages, that is coming soon. Working on it today. But for now I wanted to take a minute and share two more cards that were finished this weekend.

On the second one, that big circle is dry embossed clock, it just hard to see on the picture. And the card base with cut out edge, was downloaded from Silhouette store on Thanksgiving weekend.

Now, I can go back to my December Daily...

See you soon!

Cards in green

Yesterday I was playing with paper and made a few cards. I like to make them in sets of three. Sometimes they are similar in color combination, theme or products. Sometimes it's all of the above, like today.

Thanks to my dear friend, these are SOLD.

I used the same paper pack that I use for my December Daily and that I did one for my sister-in-law. I believe this collection is by Teresa Collins but was printed by Recollections. Here is the closer look at them. Number one:

Used a lot of pop dots for all of them. Card number two:

And number three:

That's all for today. Might be back here tomorrow with two more pages of DD. Can't promise though, because it will never happen:)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your December!

Days 3 & 4

Good morning! I have two more pages of our December Daily complete. The pictures of day 3 don't really look like they were taken in December, but the nature decided to give us two days with well above average temperatures. We did not complain - we enjoyed it!

Day 3:

I adhered the photo one one side, leaving more space for pictures if you open the tab:

Day four has just one photo. It's a picture of my sister's house where we've spent an evening. It was taken at 10 o'clock at night. Added journaling directly to the photo, so there's no envelope for this day.

Day 4:

Hoping to get more Christmas cards done. December Daily pages don't take much time, so I'll try to carve some time to finish the cards I started and maybe do a few more.

How is everyone doing with their DD?

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

December Daily day 1 & 2

Hello! I'm so happy to be sharing the first two days of my December Daily. Have to agree with Ali Edwards when she said: "Getting the first page done always feels so good." Keeping it simple and enjoying this most wonderful time of the year.

Day 1:

I have a cut out page in this spread.

Pictures were printed at home. That's the only way to get December Daily done as we go. I'm not sure how long these last, quality wise, but pretty happy the way they look right now.

I did cut off the flap of the envelope on the first page just to let anyone who will look through the book that there are some notes with journaling in them.

Day 2.

Had to use black&white photo here, since I couldn't get the colors I wanted. But it turned out matching that black transparency clock. Snowflake was cut out with Silhouette.

Also...

Last week I put together a very simple DD base for my sister-in-law. This is going to be her third year participating. Having two little children, she doesn't have much time for artsy work, therefore she wanted something with minimal decoration. She liked the way Ali Edwards did her album last year. I printed out the pages for her and added a strip of paper on the left side, leaving the right side of the spread for photos.

Just add your photos and if you want add journaling directly to them or there's enough space for it on the left side of each spread. It can't be more simple than that. If you are new to the DD, or don't have much time - this is the way to go.

Got to go now, but hope to be back soon! Have a great day!
